For those of you who don’t know what we’re talking about, read carefully! ‘Manga’ is basically a Japanese comics or graphic novels that contain beautiful illustrations and interesting plots from different genre. The comics is also known as ‘kanji, ‘hiragana’ or ‘katakana’, all of which mean cartooning. Fun fact – when you read manga, you don’t read it from left to right like a normal book. Instead, you read from right to left. As mentioned already, there are different genres: fantasy, science fiction, horror and more.

10. Legendary Gambler Tetsuya
The manga tells the story of Tetsuya – a gambler with a big reputation and a strong hand in gambling. He’s defeated a lot of other players and took their money and dignity, until one day he gets defeated himself. His opponent beat him at mahjong – a popular and difficult game, which our main protagonist is dedicated to learning how to play to become the ultimate gambling master.
9. One Outs
This is a gambling manga that is more focused towards sports betting and, in particular, a sport similar to basebal. ‘One Outs’ presents the story of Toua Tokuchi – a famous gambler that has a sweet tooth for sports betting and winning some extra cash. And as mentioned, this involves players from this sport, lots of bets and interesting plots within the plot. Make sure you check the manga out!
8. Psychic Gambler: Betting Man
Jin-goo is a unique human being – he can see through objects! Of course, as a typical man, he uses this ‘gift’ to get all the ladies at first. One day, he decides to try his luck and his abilities in gambling. The plot is that he’s not the only one that’s ‘special’ and this may or may not ruin his plans to become the one of the best gamblers ever. If you’re interested and you’re not intimidated by the hentai-like scenes, we think you should have a look at the manga.
7. Gamblers Parade
The manga reveals the story of Shinonome Karin, a girl that has just been transferred in a new school. She quickly becomes victim of a rigged gamble that she cannot get away from. Luckily, one of the teachers, Kumonde Nagisa, who happens to hate gambling, gets her out of the situation. There is something strange about this man, so make sure you get the manga and read what happens next!
6. Usogui
The main protagonist, Usogui, is an epic gambler that likes to win, but also play with the devil. He really likes to gamble – so much that he bets his own life. Kagerou is a powerful organization that rules all things gambling. Usogui’s goal – become the best player and take over the organization.
5. Gamble Fish
A transfer student, Tom Shirasagi, goes to an elite academy, where he’s quickly charged by the rich kids. Little do they know; he’s a big gambler and he can shut everyone down by challenging them to participate in gambling tournaments. It’s interesting, intense – you’ll like it!
4. Liar Game
Nao Kanzaki is a college girl that has never done anything wrong. An honest and sweet girl, whose life changes when she receives a package with a huge amount of money. She is now a contestant in the Lying Game Tournament – a dangerous gambling competition that leaves people in dept. Would she be able to get out of this mess? Get the manga to learn more!
3. Kakegurui
We’ve finally reached our top 3! In 3rd place, we have a very famous series – Kakegurui. This is a story that involves students from the Hyakkaou Private Academy – a facility where very rich kids are thought how to gamble and how to outplay each other. But then Yumeko Jabami, a new transfer student, shows up and shows them how dangerous it could be if you dare to play against her.
2. Akagi
In 2nd place is Akagi – one of the classics of gambling manga and anime! Shigeru Akagi was a boy that had no experience in gambling at all. Somehow, with a lot of luck, he defeated the yakuza members in a game of mahjong, which is a popular game in the Underground world of gambling. After this epic victory, he disappears, just to come back 6 years later with new tricks up his sleeves.
1. Kaiji
Drumroll, please! Our top gambling manga are the one and only ‘Kaiji’ series. As you’ve probably noticed, Kaiji is the main protagonist in the story. A guy that can’t find a decent job but likes to gamble and running up depts he cannot return. One day, our friend sinks deep as he is involved in high stakes gambling and gets betrayed. He now has 15 years to work off his dept and get his life together.
